Random Photo

Buggy hotels are popping up all over the place.  I have seen several at one of my favorite spots, scattered throughout the garden.  This one I saw in England last June.  I found a site where you can look at several designs, a little more like an apartment complex than this one.  You can see them here.

Buggy hotels are a GREAT idea!

in the well-manicured areas, i can see where they'd be very useful for insects. here, i keep enough natural rotting wood and downed limbs that they can take refuge all around the pond. :)

I love the photo but did not know what a buggy hotel would be, popped over to see what they are and had to smile. in Florida we don't have to build any or stack wood. our environment is jungle like and tropical and all the bugs have free room and board with no help from us

Very unique kind of structure. The flowers and greenery are lovely.

Love to see garden photos while I am surrounded by snow. Nice shot.

I do not know how well I can see but this is home for insects! It is very useful to put such houses in the garden!

I love this idea! When my husband and I visited Wisley a couple of years ago, they had a fallen tree into which they had drilled holes of many different sizes to be homes for insects of all types. I love the link you shared - we may have to do something like that in our garden!

The only one off hand I can think of is a construction that was put together for bees outside one of the hotels here.

Cute addition to the garden. The botanical garden has started doing more for bees.
