Random Photo

Yesterday we had lunch with a very dear friend.  We had a wonderful time and enjoyed one of the restaurants nearby. When it was time to leave and we were heading home, Gregg said that we were so close to Skyline Drive, we should go take a look.

It was Labor Day of course but surprisingly there weren't that many people up there.  Even the roads were quieter than usual, I guess everyone was where they needed to be and the overlooks were quiet also.

Looking across the Shenandoah Valley the view was as it always is quite spectacular.  However, my eyes drifted into the underbrush and as I zoomed into one of the many pretty wildflowers, I spotted this little bug and found out later that it was a Spotted Cucumber Beetle.  Its range can be seen here
