GOOD FENCES AND SKYWATCH FRIDAY

Driving down the hill there is an incredible view.  We were heading to the village of Torcross located in South Devon in England last June.  I spotted this gate as we walked towards the beach.  It is the front gate....

and as we reached the ocean side we found the back gate.

We were very lucky with the weather and there were beautiful blue skies on many days that we were in England.

I am linking with Good Fences and SkyWatch Friday with my thanks to our hosts for these fun memes.

I agree; that's a lovely final picture. The kind of weather we enjoy in England all summer - not!

Lovely view of the beach!

I love the front and back gates. Wonder if there are termites in England. We used to have wooden fences and replaced them with metal fences because of their durability. No wood rot, no termites.

Very nice beach scenes, too!

Hi Denise! That is a beautiful part of England and so glad that you got sunny weather when you visited.
The stone walls are wonderful and the gates are very original with the seahorses on them!

I wanna know the story behind that gate. Who lives there. What's their story. I must know more!

Such beautiful gates with those seahorses on - I really like that!
I have often experienced blue and sunny skies in England. The weather seems to be better than its reputation.

Cool rock wall and view at the start. Very charming details on the front/back gates and wow what a view from that last shot. So pretty.

Bay House ... a great gate.

Lovely photo's Denise, so nice to see blue skies. They have been sadly lacking in my part of the UK recently BUT maybe tomorrow we will see some sun. I hope so.

All the best Jan

Beautiful gate and beautiful weather! We were lucky on our time in London too -- It only rained on us a couple of times and it was kind of funny, the landlady at our flat was so apologetic. She said 'I know you Yanks aren't used to rainy weather'. We kept trying to explain Oregon weather to her -- that it is much like England, coastal mist etc.... (or at least it used to be like that here). Anyway, we were used to rain and didn't mind it, but the blue sky days like you experienced were even better and most of our days were like that.
