GOOD FENCES

This photo was taken last March.  I noticed the pretty scene first and when I looked at it on the computer later, decided to use it for Good Fences.  It is the first time I have seen a wall and wooden fence used together.

Fascinating. I wonder why they doubled up that way. Belt and braces mentality?

It is a rather curious arrangement and I'm glad you photographed it. We sometimes see something similar in the north of England; sheep have been bred to be larger - and more able to leap over the old walls.

Looks like the fence is protecting the wall

I guess the fence keeps the wall together,
in case someone climbs over it :))
Beautiful scene!
