  3. I recall Michaelangelo's comment. Of course he meant marble or granite. Shale would not work. Basalt might. Now you got me thinking about rocks.

  9. Beautiful sculptures! I love Michelangelo’s quote about finding the statue in the stone. It reminds me that people, too, can find something good within themselves with which to carve a life.
