TODAY'S FLOWERS # 332

You can find all kinds of beautiful flowers from around the world if you click here.  Our new link opens on Saturday at 12.00 a.m. (East Coast Standard Time USA) and closes the following Thursday at 11.30 p.m.

Added note: 1-19-2015

Thank you Gunilla and Derek for correctly identifying my flower as the Yellow Loosestrife, Lysimachia punctata.  This is one of those learning experiences that I am very grateful for.

I found these sunny flowers at a botanical garden in Oslo last summer.  The marker nearby read: "Creeping Jenny, Lysimachia nummularia - Europa - Kaukasus.

Luiz Santilli Jnr created Today's Flowers and asked me a few years ago to take over his role as host.  I was very happy to do so.  He occasionally pops in to say hello, so "Hello Luiz and thank you!"

Today's Flowers' home page can be found here.

Interesting! I don't think I have ever seen these yellow flowers! I'm glad you tell us the name. The shape is rather like Mountain Laurel.

Creeping Jenny is a good name for these pretty flowers since it creeps everywhere. I love it though as I do all the wild flowers that some people refer to as weeds. Weeds? Bah!

I LOVE yellow flowers! A holdover from our life in Oregon, when they meant the return of Spring. They still cheer me up.

Thank you for hosting.
