  5. Those pictures are wonderful! Some of the birds look so delicate, such as the Black-necked Stilt – its legs are so thin. Great pics.

  15. I love the herons both on land and flying. They often fly over my garden on their way to yet another lake. I also envy the stilt who can stand for ages on one leg... grins.

  25. I do love the herons and everytime one showed up the geese chased it so I think they will take a chick if they can grab one..great macro of the green heron...Michelle
