Fall.....

"I love Fall!  Fall is exciting.
It's apples and cider.
It's an airborne spider.
It's pumpkins in bins.

It's burrs on dogs' chins.
It's wind blowing leaves.
It's chilly red knees.
It's nuts on the ground.
It's a crisp dry sound.

It's green leaves turning
And the smell of them burning.
It's clouds in the sky.
It's Fall  And that's why....
I love Fall."

Over everything connected with autumn there lingers some golden spell—some unseen influence that penetrates the soul with its mysterious power. ~Northern Advocate

  4. I am a fan of fall also. The poem you picked goes nicely with your pictures. The anonymous author speaks for many like me who have had those chilly red knees.

  6. I love getting a chance to cool down here in Texas...we are in the 80s during the day 50s at night. So much easier to be walking the dogs.

  7. I forgot to say...I love all these things except those dang spiders on their spiderly trapezes! And they always swing hem right at ME!

  8. Fun post. Too bad the poem is anonymous; someone deserves kudos for it.

  9. Sweet poem, Denise, and I love your photos! Your last photo, especially, caught my eye, that male cardinal is gorgeous. I saw a male cardinal once and by the time I got my camera ready he was gone.

  18. Oh, I love fall too! And this year we've had a spectacular one. I only dread the big, long W that comes after (at least in Wisconsin). Love your photos.

  26. Our favorite season too. Just wish it would last for longer because I don't enjoy the season that comes next. Or at least I didn't used to before we opted out of winter.
