i HART MACRO


I shared this caterpillar once before.  He will turn into a Zebra Swallowtail butterfly, and you can see what he will look like at this website

  2. I am always amazed at just how much food they can squeeze into those small bodies. Often plants I really, really would prefer they weren't munching. Love butterflies though - so pay the price.

  13. I only ever see cocoons at butterfly houses so it is fabulous to see this one out in nature!

  14. Fascinating photos! We have a Swallowtail that visits our garden, and I think it's caterpillars also live in trees, but I've never seen them. I'll have to look for them next year.
