Random Photo - A Cowboy of sorts.....

Walking on the Limberlost Trail in the Shenandoah's back in May, I heard singing.  It was a male voice worthy of recording, and I recognized "Dock of the Bay".

I turned around and looked.  What came next didn't exactly go with the song.  My cowboy came into view and by this time he was whistling beautifully.  He gave me a big smile and a wave as he passed by, and was soon followed by the rest of his party. They were from a local riding stable and this gentleman was their guide.  They all had big smiles on their faces.  It must have been a very entertaining ride for them.  For me too because I stood listening to his beautiful voice and song until he disappeared down the trail.

  1. Otis redding and the Pips? I recall he was featured in the film Animal House.

I would have enjoyed this "Mounties" song.

Loved your story of being at Arches. We make some lovely memories when we travel, and often also just in our daily lives, and they sure make life a joy!
