NATURE NOTES AND WILD BIRD WEDNESDAY

I was very happy to keep company with this Green Heron while he was fishing.  These photos were taken in the Everglades a couple of months back.

You can learn more about this beautiful bird here.

Today I am linking with Michelle's Nature Notes and Stewart's Wild Bird Wednesday.  Thanks for hosting Michelle and Stewart.

Yes he is beautiful! In that first picture he looks like he means business and proves he does in the next to last one. Apologies if he is a she.

These pictures look more like paintings...I like they way they are done very much!

Awesome photos Denise,
Such focused concentration exudes from the Green Heron.
A wonderful experience you had being with such good company.
With the event happening a few months ago I'm guessing you are in a part of America that doesn't do snow and ice, but would still have been chilly I'm sure, but also refreshing.
Thanks for sharing a great journey.
A very beautiful looking bird too. The feather colouring is lovely, and the plunge into the water is stunning.

I love this bird. Especially now that some bird bloggers told me what it was (I had misidentified it on one of my posts.)
