Alligators and a Toddler are introduced......really?

Having visited the Everglades not long ago and having had a discussion about how close people, including children got to the alligators - and no not this close - I was astonished by this photo.  I know nothing about it other than it was taken in Los Angeles in 1920.  Husband Gregg sent it to me after finding it online here where you can see this photo, along with others at an alligator farm, also from the same time frame.

The site is called Retronaut, home page found here.   It is a site where you can find lots and lots of old photos.

  4. As someone who works in a children's home I'd not like to write the Risk Assessment for that one.

  5. I won't come near any of them. The alligators will lap me up . . . and babies always have this play idea of hitting us without meaning to.
