Hello DeniseI love those museums that have all the weird and wonderful true to life 'stuff' from years gone by. Displaying things as they would have been makes it all seem real - and makes us realise things might not have been so good in those days. There are times to say 'thank goodness' for modern conveniences (those too lol)Take careCathy
Very cute Denise, and the opening line "As soon as I put on my underwear this morning.....etc caught my attention immediately so there wasn't any doubt that I would pass your post by today!
Love that quote. The utilitarian underwear? Practical but not inspiring...
Hi. Love this shot and it goes so well wih the quote.
Museum? - It could almost be my old barn and my clothesline (only my partner is wearing only black clothes)Have a great new week :-)
Beautiful click by Gregg..its shows the daily life of the people of the place..at first I thought it to be something in real life..Its only after reading your caption I came to know that its a museum..
Funny quote and the photo is perfect! Denise, have a happy day!
one good way of keeping warm with layers
Now that is art, I think or is it merely laundry?
I love this picture! My first thought was it tells a story. But really, I guess it tells a different story to each viewer. For me I imagine a crusty old wagon train cook who is living out his remaining days in the sunshine and all he has to worry about is clean underwear.
as i stared at the photo i wondered where people still hung the laundry out and why they still wore those underwear... then i read it is a museum. love that photo...
I had longjohns like those when I used to work gooing roofing they kept me warm. Dont need them now the wheelchair finds it hard negotiating the ladders. Hope you are all OK Heather annd I are both good. Had jelly and cake yesterday at youngest Grand Sons birthday he be 5 today. xxx Don & Heather
a very rustic photo!! I like your imagination David Oliver....
David Oliver beat me to it!Jane x
Fruit of the Loom! I hadn't thought about that for years. All my kids wore fol underwear.
that's cute. :)
Great quote and I'd be happy in any of that underwear at the moment - it's freezing here!
That's is much fun!!!(ツ) from Cottage Country Ontario , ON, Canada!
Nice photo .. Cautious question .. these are your new underwear? .. :D
That's a cute photo; it and the quote make me smile out loud! When we were in London (an exotic place for some of us you know ;>)) I took a picture of laundry hanging out of the guards living quarters at the Tower of London. It remains one of my favorite pictures from that wonderful trip!
So funny and a cute pic! I remember my grandmother putting clothes out on the line; they smelled so good. I'd love to do that today, but I'd be afraid of birds pooping on them! lol
Lol!We see lots of those kind of underwear around these parts ;)~Jo
Gregg got a funny one and your captioning made it more so, Denise. A good way to start the week.
Neat picture, and funny quote!
Love washing on the line...and still have thermal long johns for bird watching and walking, except they make much prettier ones for women now!
