NATURE NOTES

When we were at the Norfolk Botanical Garden a while ago, we walked by a small lake that had a lot of turtle activity.  As we were walking along we noticed that the turtles were following us, swimming closer and closer.  I think they must be used to people feeding them.  When we stopped so did they and they came right up to us looking expectantly.

Sorry fella, no food for you.

I am linking with Michelle's Nature Notes which you will find here.  Thank you for hosting this lovely meme Michelle.

  1. You do have some great experiences on your travels, Denise. I've never seen a turtle, let alone get close-up to one.

  3. yup, waiting for some bread or crackers. my mother-in-law used to save all her old breads, pastries and such in her freezer until she visited. then she'd feed the turtles and fish in our pond. they loved it.
