Just some of the places we'd like to visit one day.

Several months ago we were at Chincoteague and the first place we went to was the visitor center at the National Wildlife Refuge.  There was a large map of the United States on the wall showing all the wildlife refuges in every state.  I figured these would come in useful for when we start road tripping.   If you enlarge them you might be able to read them better.  I didn't take a photo of every state, just the ones that I thought we would be interested in.  Some came out blurry and I won't be publishing those.  I squint enough going through life, another reminder that I need to get a stronger prescription on my eye glasses.  It's at the top of my list.

In no particular order, here are the National Wildlife Reserves we would enjoy choosing from sometime in the future.

  3. That is a great list, Denise! I went to Maine when I was just 9 years old...several decades ago. I enjoyed it so much; Old Orchard Beach was a blast. I have been to New York but found it less interesting. I love Vermont and have been there many times. I would enjoy the opportunity of seeing Mt Airy, NC one day, Andy Griffith's stomping grounds. :)

  5. Just planning a trip to visit them all would be an education!

I think I may have to visit one or two one day!

  6. How exciting to plan future journeys. I've only been to Maine and New York and Russia and Canada, so I suggest I come with you when you go. We loved our visit to Russia so I hope you make it there.

  9. You gotta have a dream. I am so happy I visited many parts of the US when I was younger. This is a large country. My neighbor is a travel writer, but his days of travel are numbered. Dianne

  12. I don't know most of these, but they'd all be fun to visit. The birdwatching should be great at any one of them.
Planning trips is nearly as much fun as going on them, and it sounds like you're getting into planning mode.

  13. Denise, I think you have the whole country covered there. I love visiting the national wildlife refuges. I also love planning trips. Now, that Greg is retired you can visit all the refuges. Have a happy week!
