We left the car out one night....

and when we came out of the house the next morning it had rained.  The rain washed a lot of blossoms off our Crepe Myrtle tree onto the the car's front window, and when I got in I decided to take a photo of the effect.

I wonder if it's going to keep raining today?  It would be nice if it stopped as we are meeting friends later on.  Best get the brollies out I suppose.

That looks so pretty, I'd wish to have it like that all the time.
I keep a brolly in the car at the side of the drver's seat at all times, you never know when you'll need it for rain or shine.

Hi Denise, I hope it stops up for you later on. I love the effects of the flowers!

I just love crepe myrtle blossoms. Neat photo thru the windshield. Hope you have a nice afternoon with friends.

It rained all night in Georgia, too!

The crepe myrtle blossoms look like snow around here! At least, the white ones....and isn't Dolly Parton wise?

We had a crepe myrtle in our back yard in Dallas. The wind and rain would spread its blossoms everywhere, but they caused the biggest problem with our swimming pool.

That is so pretty. I wonder how it would have looked if you had just the blue sky in the background.

What a treat. A little like rainbows I would expect the day to be a good one after a start like that.

And then there are those who wonder WHAT to do a post about, and as we know, it's anything! Our crepe myrtles are all white ones, but the neighbor's yard has one like this and its flowers coat the street when there's a rainstorm.

Good for you to find something positive about the rainy day. A pretty windscreen. Hope it didn't dampen your friend's visit.

It would have seemed to remove the beautiful decorations from the car windscreen. So very pretty.
I think the quote re rain and rainbows so true and if you bring it into our lives I guess you could say you have to have some sadness to appreciate the good things when we have them.
