A busy bird...

I came across one of our American Robins the other day.  Looked like a little nest building was going on.

I will be linking with Anni's Bird D'Pot

I love watching the robins. I learned that it's the papa bird that cares for the young while mama builds a new nest and begins the process all over again. They love grape jelly!

Oh oh looks like it, Denise. I always catch nests falling on my head when I pass by my trees ;-)

What fun series!!! This time of year, if you're lucky like you are...the actions of the feathered friends are so entertaining.

The robins are still busy back in Illinois, raising second and possibly third broods. Nice documentation.

Woof and before you know it they will be sleeping in your sofa and blogging in yer computer!

I wonder how many broods a year robins have in Virginia. Here they have two but in Virginia they may have three.

The whole nest building thing with birds is one of the wonders of nature to me.

Busy bird instead of busy bee - a bit of nest building? It seems late for that!

I feel like I haven't seen a robin in such a long time. I didn't see them at the canyons either. Hmmmm... I wonder why. Ah well, I shall have to wait until we get back to the Midwest.
