CAMERA CRITTERS # 256

When we visited Huntley Meadows a few weekends ago we were happy to see the ducks having a good time with all that water around.  The levels of the marsh were higher than we have seen them,
thanks to the industriousness of the local beavers.

These photos were taken by husband Gregg.  Those little ducks were fast....

but we liked how the water droplets were caught as they suddenly took flight, quacking away as they went.

Comical things ducks and a whole lot of fun to watch.

Wonderful pictures that are just ducky! I also love the way you caught the water droplets in the air!

It sure is fun watching them take off and land. Its amazing how their wings can lift their fat bodies. Great shots . A fast shutter speed freezes the drops and the duck. Next time try panning the camera with the duck then click. It should make the background blurry so it gives the feeling of motion.

Nice catch (only true photographers, like you and your husband, can say capture and I'm a picture taker) of the ducks taking off.

I've got lots of photos of empty frames because the birds have already gone by the time I've clicked the shutter. :-)

These are such fun and beautiful photos, Denise. Kudos to your wonderful Gregg!

Hello Denise
I don't think I've ever seen an unhappy duck - they just seem to get on with it lol
Thanks for your well wishes on my eye surgery - all seems to be coming along fine now.
Take care
Cathy

You (and your husband) got some great pictures of the ducks. I really like the way you got the water drops falling from the ducks.

Those last two shots are especially well captured - you're right Denise, they move so quickly and Greg did well to get such clear shots. Thanks for sharing.
