A walk around Meadowlark Gardens

We explored a new area this afternoon, a path we had not taken before.  We have thought to do so many times on previous visits, and today was the day to take the left fork instead of the right.  We came across this very long bench, with a small platform in the middle so that little ones could sit more comfortably.  There was a quote by John Muir on the back of the bench etched in the wood.  It read:

"In every walk with Nature one receives far more than he seeks."
How true!

More to come later.

Oh, I say amen to that! I wish I had that bench in my front yard. Our entire family could sit on it at once! lol Hubby and I love going into the country or down our walking paths and getting in touch with nature. It's amazing how close to God you feel. :)

What a great view you shared! I don't mind it in pictures, but I sure don't care for snow.

Kind of a cold time of year to visit a garden! I like the John Muir quote.

that is one long bench and I think you would get a wet behind if you sat on it. It looks an inviting walk bt my nose would get cold.

It's always good to explore a different path and be surprised by something new.
A lovely long bench for a family to sit and relax although not on a snowy day!

It looks lovely, Denise, and I bet it's even lovelier in springtime.

A very true quote. I'm always amazed at how much I see and how good it makes me feel to just be out and around nature.
