CAMERA CRITTERS

We found these oxen at Mount Vernon, George Washington's home last Sunday.

Later downloads.  Gregg took two lovely shots which I have just seen after downloading from his camera.  I particularly liked the last one.

  2. Those horns look like they could do some damage.

  3. They are GORGEOUS - they look so like the Dexter cattle I used to have.

  4. Wow! They are huge. I was reading about George Washington and what a great president he was.

  8. I always enjoy how relaxed bovine critters are most of the time.A fellow had pulled into a field with water the other day and they were all running.

  9. They seem very at home in their historic location. We've seen oxen in an historic Utah park. They huge but gentle beasts.

  10. Those are some horns. So lucky that they are renowned as placid animals. Thank you.

    Cats or Dogs?

  24. These oxen are wonderful creatures! There aren't many of them left. I loved seeing them here, as I did when we were at Williamsburg, "in person" so to speak! :-) I love your new header, by the way (Mount Vernon I am guessing!) and the photo of the lone orange tree in Arlington was beautiful too.
