Update...

Hello everyone, thanks for all the good wishes throughout.  All is quiet this morning.  We had wind and rain and our electricity was cut for several hours, but I think our friends further up north got the brunt of it.  When we woke up this morning we were surprised to see how quiet it was and it's a lot brighter than the last couple of days.  Gregg went up to get his newspaper and he only saw one tree down in the neighborhood.  I haven't turned the news on yet and am worried about all who saw more of Sandy's wrath than we did.  We may be having company soon and I'm going to be getting round to some housework today.  Not much to do thank goodness, but enough to keep me off the computer for a while.  I will be back in a couple of days or so.

  13. Glad to get the update. I have been in prayer for the entire NE, and concerned about family and friends...I hope everyone takes it to heart to prepare for such emergencies by stockpiling food and water and candles and batteries, etc etc etc. Glad you got through it well.

  19. I'm so glad you were OK. I was thinking about all of you. My son in Baltimore said he didn't lose any power and was doing OK as was his girlfriend in D.C. Thank goodness! I feel so awful for those whose homes were completely destroyed though.
