Camera Critters

I get this little visitor almost every day, just as long as there is food, and if you're a regular you'll know how much I post about him because you'll see him a lot.  Actually there are two of them.  One of them has a chewed up tail and you can read how that came about if you click here.  That day I was trying to teach him diplomacy but by the look of his bare spot I think he needs another reminder.

He comes rain or shine and when the sun shines he casts a long shadow.

He sometimes gets thirsty and head for the water bowl.

Sometimes he just wants to be left alone.

But it's not long before he starts chowing down again.

He doesn't mind the close-ups....

as I am always telling him what a handsome little chipmunk he is.  You can just see how he listens to me can't you?

He's so close now I can see the reflection of our house in his eye.

What a handsome little fella!

So cute, Denise. I always enjoy seeing his photos. You seem to get a lot of joy watching him dine on your deck.

What a delightful visitor. He rewards your kindness with beautiful poses. It's so good to welcome wild creatures - they almost become our pets.

We are both a bit upset today, we saw a feral (or stray cat not sure ) catch and kill a chipmunk in the garden. I guess the poor cat was very hungry.

How adorable. Our neighborhood is just now getting trees big enough to attract lots of birds and squirrels so we are now starting to enjoy some of their antics. Such entertainment.

It is so sweet Denise and such lovely photos.

Love the poem on the last post :-)

Your little four legged friend is adorable on the earlier post as is the lovely baby!

I loved seeing the Cardinal dad feeding his youngsters. I have seen adult Northern Cardinals many times on American blogs but never juveniles and had no idea what they looked like so thank you, I enjoyed seeing them on the earlier post.

The last house we lived in we had a family of chipmunks who lived under out front porch. They had made a burrow under the concrete slab and had lived there for years.

They would visit our deck every day to feast on what was in the bird feeders or the corn we scattered for the squirrels. Unlike you visitors they would scamper if we tried to to come out onto the deck. I was never able to get more than a tail shot as they ran away.

Nice captures. Thanks for the memory.

At least one of the chipmunks in our yard is teasing our indoor cat. Patches sits by the door, and the chipmunk strolls by several times before going on its way. One day I hope to capture a photograph of the two of them looking at each other!

What a photogenic and small visitor you have in this chipmunk, Denise. Wondering if you have given him a name as he's a regular by now.

Denise, the Chippers are so cute. He/she looks really happy to live in your yard. Wonderful photos. Happy Sunday!

The photos with the peanuts shows us just how small this little guy is. We don't have chipmunks in Texas so it's a treat to get to see one.
