"Loving friend, the gift of one
Who her own true faith has run
Through thy lower nature
Be my benediction said
With my hand upon thy head
Gentle fellow creature!"

This is the first verse of a poem by Elizabeth Barrett Browning. You can read the rest of it here. I met Daisy a few weeks ago on a trip to Mason Neck Park.

She's a beauty.
Daisy seems like a nice dog.
Such an intelligent face... I want another one like her.
she's beautiful.
There's nothing sweeter than the face of a black Lab. They are wonderful dogs.
She doesn't seem to be poor and she is a nice-looking dog. I think you should consider keeping her.

Daisy is a lovely lady. I have a soft spot for Labs. ;)
Daisy looks a truly typical gentle food oriented labrador.
Elizabeth Barret Browning called her own dog 'Flush'.
Seeing this lovely Labrador, brings back memories.
Daisy is a beauty... My Duchess was black--but she was a cocker spaniel. SO--I'm partial to black doggies...
Thanks for sharing.
Hugs,
Betsy
I think you are due for a new pet.
Lovely face of Daisy...
What a pretty dog!
She's a beauty!
Daisy is a pretty lab. Labs are wonderful dogs. I use to have a Golden named Daisy and at the same time a yellow lab named Sunshine. I hope you are having a wonderful holiday weekend. I have heard of Mason Neck, not sure if I have ever been there. Is it nice?
oh what a pretty pooch!!
Thank you for all the lovely comments everyone. Hope you're having a great weekend.
It seems this meeting makes you and the dog happy. Good you have this nice memory photo.
Daisy looks like a strong and sweet girl. Someone once told me that Labs are the best dogs in the world. I used to have a yellow lab named Daisy Mae. She was the sweetest dog ever.
