Papa Cardinal

The door was open and I heard a bit of a fuss outside.  When I looked out I saw a Papa Cardinal feeding its baby.

It's hot and humid and there is a thunderstorm on the way so I am closing down for the night.

  2. How lucky you are to witness this feeding and love between father and baby.

Hope the thunder moves over quickly from one who dislikes storms

We have Pheobes nesting, and chickadees.

  11. Oh my goodness! That is just the cutest thing. It's nice to know the Dads help out too.

I'm so happy to have a little time to check out what you all are doing. The last few weeks have been crazy and it won't be easier for us for another couple of weeks. It was a happy crazy... but it'll be nice to catch up anyway.

  13. I love seeing the birds feeding their young, you were so lucky to be able to take these lovely photos, something I have not been able to do as yet.
I close my computer down when there is thunder in the air because we often get hit by lightning,as the towers of the castle are so high and have a lightning conductor on the roof.Last time we had a bad hit,it blew the electrics and fried the telephone.
Hope your storm passed without incident.
    Carolyn.

  16. Wonderful captures, Denise. Lucky you.
I love to see parents feeding their young. At the moment we're watching the bluetits that nested in our box and have now emerged into the wide world.

Thank you so much, Denise for your comments on my "Another Reason for Remembering" post. Russell and I are so suited to each other, and I love him a lot!
