The Dream
I had a dream the other night (2-19-12 actually). I don't very often remember them but last night Gregg and I found ourselves back in Arizona, except he didn't know it. We have been there a few times before, the last about three years ago.
In my dream while walking around one of the national parks we spotted a mountain lion and marveled at its beauty, not being afraid at all at the close proximity. I felt very safe. In the next moment we found ourselves in the visitors' center and while looking around, the same mountain lion walked in. This time we hid behind the nearest door, which happened to be the ladies room. There were other people inside already and as I peaked out, the mountain lion left. I went up to the desk and asked a lady behind it, "Does this happen often?" and as she opened her mouth to reply, I woke up before I got the answer.
It didn't take me long to figure out why I had dreamed of Arizona. I enjoy going to Marie's blog - A Colorful World. Marie used to live in Virginia but moved to Arizona not so long ago. I was showing Gregg one of her posts which we both enjoyed, and we talked about driving through the state, hence I found myself back in Arizona last night. We always knew we would be taking a trip back one day, but not in one of my dreams. The other surprise for me was that I actually remembered it.

How lovely! As I was clicking back to your blog after posting my last comment I saw this new post! And, I was tickled that you had dreamed about Arizona last night and attribute it to my blog! Thanks for the link! That was a sweet thing to do! I hope you can come back to AZ some time in the near future, and that the four of us (we two and our hubbys) can meet each other. And, I hope there will be NO mountain lions anywhere near when we do! :-) Glad you are enjoying my blog! All my best always!
Marie
Are mountain lions common? How exciting. Thank you for this dream, it was nice to know that other people rarely remember them.
What a strange dream. But you like animals, to begin with, so perhaps it is natural it figured prominently in your dream. I rarely remember my dreams, also.
That could be a clue, Denise!
When I remember a dream upon waking up, I follow my instinct ;-) Sometimes, they lead to exciting discoveries!
Not being afraid of the mountain lion is probably a sign that you are not easily fazed by anything and feel secure in your life.
What a nice picture of you and Gregg behind the cactus! I had a dream last night. All I remember is that I slammed the door hard, on my way out. I must have been upset, or mad. I like your dream better!
You are a great storyteller, Denise! Thank you for your visit. I hadn't much time to do a complicated post hence the story of the polarbear. I am preparing myself for the trip to Israel, where I shall meet Dina of the Daily Jeruzalem blog. I am going to stay there a fortnight and Dina is going to show me Jerusalem.
i'm sure there is some symbolism involved in the mountain lion, but sweet that you dreamed of arizona (and because of marie). :)
When I dream, it's always real crazy stuff from looooong time ago and I mix up people and places !
Denise, dreaming about AZ? You and me both! What a lovely dream and what a great way to portray it in your photo!
Funny how our dreams are some times connected to things we see and read ! Love the photo ! Never been to Arizona . Awesome post . Have a good day !
Clever picture of you both in the reflection Denise - I never really remember any my dreams- only the odd bit here and there.
Hugs to you - you know what for-thank you for all your support xx
Hi Denise, At first, I thought you might be thinking of my blog post last Friday --since I posted more photos from our western trip... Then I went through my list and realized that you missed that post.
Dreams are interesting aren't they??? I have a friend who actually took a class on Dreams --and she thinks that there is a 'reason' why we dream what we do......??? Makes you want to take that study, doesn't it???
Have a great day.
Hugs,
Betsy
Love the photo and the commentary. Dreams are fascinating and strange and one wonders sometimes at their significance.
I'm most impressed you remembered the dream in detail. I really enjoyed your narrative of the dream too. And thanks so much for visiting me Denise. I'll be back as a regular, there's so much I've yet to explore on your Blog.
WOW Denise, I can never seem to remember my dreams. Yours was so vividly posted about and hope you can make a return trip to Arizona. We know folks there and so may go visit one day.
I hear Arizona amazing
I love your dream photo. Sounds like an Arizona trip needs to be planned. I can never remember my dreams these days,
Superimposed pictures... lovely. You are so clever, Denise. That was some dream, you were lucky to remember it. Mostly mine disappear as soon as I wake.
How nice to visit Arizona... if only in your dream!
I love the photo you used - did you superimpose it on one of you and Gregg?
Dreams are strange, aren't they? Sometimes it's obvious what's prompted them but other times there's no apparent clue.
A wonderful dream Denise and on my birthday too...
Take care xx
Nicely laid layer my friend, creates that special dream.
Neat photo. I love when you can figure out what prompted a dream. Maybe another trip there is in order too.
That's a fun dream. I especially love your photo with you and Gregg reflected in that Arizona picture.
