I have been around seagulls most of my life. We moved inland away from the sea when Gregg retired from the navy, I knew I would miss them and wasn't prepared to say goodbye. I didn't need to worry as even though we are not visiting the ocean on a regular basis, I find them in the most unexpected places. These were at Burke Lake Park a couple of weekends ago.

Gorgeous birds and great photos. We get seagulls here, though we are two hours drive from the ocean. I suspect that many of them live and die here, never having seen the sea.

We get them on our lake too. They're noisy during the summer though and wake everyone up at about 4 am.
Lovely captures of birds in flight. We get hundreds of seagulls here, trying to eat the tourist's ice creams.

Lovely series of shots Denise! I really like the last one against the gorgeous sky you had overhead.
I remember the first time I heard seagulls was in Virginia. My not as yet husband was working at the Norfolk shipyard and my first morning I could hear them calling.
I love watching seagulls swoop and dive lovely photos.
