I'm as usual taking photos of seagulls but Gregg has his eye on other things and all the other photos are his.
There were people jumping up in the air and he was trying to figure out what they were doing.
After looking at the photos on the computer at the end of the day, I suggested maybe a family Christmas Card? There was a lady taking their photographs and we watched as it took many 'takes' to get just one perfect shot. Those guys did a lot of jumping up and down while we were watching them, but they all looked like they were having a lot of fun doing it.
After a few moments all the picture taking was done, or so they thought. Gregg spotted a future trapeze artist? A jet pilot? Whatever profession she might have one day, Daddy was throwing her high up in the air and she was loving it.

I toss Rylan into the air sometimes, but one fine day, he'll be too heavy.... Lol.
Kids just love being tossed up into the air... I used to as well! I enjoy watching other having a good time.
Greg did a good job with his people watching shots. I love the one that captured the little girl in the air.
HI Denise...I gasped when I saw the air toss..that always scares me...perhaps because of a fear of heights, but if Dad's a good catcher lol!! Good catch on the photo of the deed!!
One thing for sure I bet the jumping people on the beach sure drew attention..lol!!

At first I thought that girl was in the waves - I had to read to understand what was really going on!

Love the shot of the little girl up in the air.You obviously ae having milder weather, it is snowing right now.
I think you captured great photos of a lovely family. ;)
nice actions. And I love the summer shots. :)
Lots of stuff going on at the beach on that day, Denise... I'd be people watching (in addition to bird watching) also....
We were going to our favorite beach in NC in Dec. ---but decided against another trip this month so that I could get TOTALLY well... We have some stuff upcoming in January I hope.
Hugs,
Betsy
Just lovely. Congratulations to both of you. I really liked your sea gulls and Greg's toss n catch shots were wonderful.
There's an art in catching folk when jumping into the air, its called multi shots, lol.
Love your beach work my friend.
Good grief! I used to toss my kids, but not that high, I'd be afraid that I'd lose them in the sun!
warm beach weather -- lucky you. We have the foolish crowd that jumps in the icy ocean on New Years Day for the Polar Bear Plunge (even when it's 0 outside....yikes.
At the beach people want all sorts of pics.
I tried to help a family last summer in Alabama. They wanted a pic of them jumping small wavelets. "Roll tides you see?" the lady kept saying.
Fun at the beach. Greg is like Bill they prefer people pictures. It certainly puts more action and life into a shot. Great capture of the flying girl. I can imagine the screams.
Great photos!
Love the one with the little girl in the air.
Have a nice weekend.
Gregg did a great job photographing the people whom he was watching. I shared your other Virginia Beach picture, the one with the horses, with my friend who lives in Virginia Beach. I asked if she had ever gone for a horse ride along the beach. She hadn't but said it looked fun. She was going to check on it.
Holey Moley! That's really high in the air though. I'd be scared watching that. Great capture on Gregg's part. Please congratulate him for us.
What a lovely post! Beautiful photos. Love the one with the little girl in the air.
Absolutely delightful vignettes of people at the beach! Who knew you would come across such interesting groups doing such "different" things. Made for some great photos!
I hope you do make it out to AZ some time. Email me if you do, and I will email you my phone number so we can get together! I always thought that might happen in Va, but AZ is great too! :-) About the okra...honestly all I ever do is fry the stuff--slice, dip in milk, roll in cornmeal with a little flour and salt in it, and fry. Okra plants are easy to grow, though, if you want to sneak a couple into your flower garden! They have lovely yellow "rose of sharon" type blooms, and nice leaves and pods. Just a thought. :-) Thanks for your comments on my blog posts! I always love reading what you have to say!
