Horses On The Beach

More photos from our trip to Virginia Beach. I have never seen horse rides on the beach before, again at the latter part of the year when the main tourists have been and gone. The organizers seemed pretty busy, plenty of customers on such a warm, sunny day.

You can see the metal detector guys on the left of the photo below - there were a lot of those on the beach that day. I wonder if anyone found someone's lost piece of jewelry, a ring or bracelet, a watch maybe, some other trinket of value? Gregg says he's going to buy one of those things when he retires. Me? I'll be on that boat cruising along the beach, oh yes, now that sounds very nice. Or maybe we'll be in the wilderness on our mountain top? Oooooooooooo, oooo, oo, oooooo!!!!

I would think they would be busy too since it's something a little different to do at the beach.

Beautiful to see... looks a lot more fun than being led on a donkey at Blackpool..

I agree with you about sailing away on the ocean. Much better than finding 'junk' on the beach.
Fun on the beach sounds great to me at the moment...all I see for now are trucks and silos...it's harvest time here. Maa

Truly lovely. I think I would settle for a house on the beach where I could watch the sea and the weather change and on good days (mine not the weather's) walk along it.
Thanks.

I rode my horse (when I had horses) on a beach in NJ. It was fantastic!

Love to be riding a horse on that beach right now -trouble is if you tried to photograph me I`d come out all blurred-I have to go a lot faster than a walk -bit of a speed queen!!

It's lovely to seee the horse on the beach, a first for me here in the States too !
I used to run the rides on the beach in Lytham St Annes for Pontins...donkeys horses and even two mules, who hilariously used to roll in the sand often.
I would be sure to put those who'd had to much tipple, on the mules :)
Great pictures Denise.

My Sweet Thing went on a beach ride while on vacation in Cancun, they actually rode out into the water! Not for me, I prefer my transportation to be motorized.

I would love to ride along the beach. It's probably been about 10 years since my last horse ride. Thanks for stopping by my blog!

Wow, I'd ride a horse on a beach.

I've seen guys with the metal detectors all over the various beaches we've been. I doubt I'll join them.

Health and safety interfered. Now there are no Donkeys on our beach. Gregg will be digging up a lot of ringpulls from beer cans. I soon lost interest in my metal detector. Lovely photos Denise.

It's always seemed the height of deliciousness to ride along the beach - soft landing if you fall off;-)

I Love the horses on the beach. I have always wanted to do that but so far no luck. Perhaps I should come down there!

Slightly different to the English Donkey rides on the beach.
