Tom comes to dinner

We're still in Virginia Beach and happy to say that Gully is doing well considering he has had such a major operation. It will be a long time before he feels like dancing but his spirits are good and he is getting lots of tender loving care from Celia and from us all. He has had visits from close family which includes his great-granddaughter who is such a little treasure. He has also had lots of phone calls from people all around the United States, and though he hasn't been able to answer all of them he knows that he is loved and that people are thinking of him. I would also like to thank you all for your very caring comments here, which I have read out loud, and all those good wishes and prayers have also brought a big smile to him and to all of us.
Even Tom has been bringing his good wishes. Tom is a stray Celia feeds every morning and every night, is a little skittish and won't come close until we shut the door and leave him to his meals. Tom is a handsome cat and I have enjoyed meeting him.

The other night when he came late, he had company. A big old raccoon sidled over to the plate after he had been eating for a while. We saw Tom look over and he took the prudent action, leaving Mr. Raccoon to eat his meal in peace. It was too dark for me to take pictures of him but he was a big one.

I had to stop feeding the cats at night so not to have lots of critters show up.Nice you are sharing with Gully and glad he is making it good. The pep talks from around him will help with the healing.

Glad to hear FIL is improving and hope he grows stronger each day. I'm sure Tom and the Racoon will grow strong with Celia's kindness.
