What splendid shots Denise ! You can almost count the feathers on those friendly visitors... We have Mockingbirds, they choose to dive bomb Oliver cat and hit him on the head :) ~Jo
nice variety of backyard birdies. i use peanuts to lure them in. we call that using "the big guns"!! try it, you won't be disappointed and you won't be able to keep up!!
Denise, while I get the downy and the blue jay, I do not get the mockingbirds here at my house. I have seen them at the ocean in CT and MA, but not here. I have only seen them once or twice at the bog. Nice shots of the blue jay. Don't you just love having them visit you? downies are just the cutest things!
Denise, I love your beautiful bird photos. What would we do without our wonderful friends! Charles Lindbergh once said that he would rather have birds than airplanes.

Wow! These are such amazing photos, Denise! I am so impressed. I don't think I've ever seen a Mockingbird up close like this.

Beautiful birds!
Lovely visitors even if a bit messy. The blue Jay is a masterpiece of colour.
You've made my day, Denise ... I've never seen a mocking bird before.
It is almost like having old friends visit when you get back to your birds
