We have to drive over 20 miles to our nearest Krispy Kreme. My one personality is very sad at this thought. My other personality, the sensible one with the willpower, thinks it's a very good job there isn't one right around the corner.
Oh my Denise you must really have it bad...I wouldn't get out of bed that early for a doughnut any day..lol!! I am not a doughnut person..,but I have been known to crave a Boston creme doughnut when I am near a Dunkin Doughnut shop.. ; } Sounds like your having great fun!!
Oh, I loooove Krispy Kreme! Unfortunately, there is just one in Hawaii and it is located on Maui. Those piping hot donuts are addictive, aren't they. Try stopping after just one! lol.
Denise, you crack me up!! Your post was just delightful! And because it's early morning and I'm sitting here with my first cuppa, I am now craving a hot, glazed donut!! ~karen
Denise, I am laughing at the cravings for donuts, and I have been there...but I am more in need now of the will-power you mentioned!! At almost 60, I more than ever want to feel good in this aging body... I appreciate the kind words. Thanks for stopping by and visiting me. I really love getting to 'peek' into the world of others through blogging. Blessings today!
There used to be a Krispy Kreme near us, and we'd take the kids with us to watch them make the donuts, then get a free, warm sample as we placed our order. There coffee wasn't too good, but the donuts were amazing. For coffee, Dunkin' Donuts is better.
I have to go 80 miles and have done it. I drove 170 miles each way to gop to a Dunkin after seeing their commercial for double chocolate.I am blessed with a Dutch town with 2 nice bakeries nearby I got to a lot, but never hot like the glazed. MMMMMMM.
I've had the cold and old Krispy Kreme and didn't think much of it. Someone told me I needed to try it hot to understand why everybody is crazy about it. Hmmm... the only donut place we have here is Dunkin Donuts and I haven't had that in years. Now you've made me crave one. :-)
Born English but have lived in America for almost 36 years, now proudly a US Citizen but as the old saying goes and as Gregg occasionally tells me, you can take the girl out of England but you can never take England out of the girl.

Not an addiction I share. Chocolate on the other hand ... We had a Crispy Creamery in town, but it didn't get enough business and closed.

I love the Krisy Kremes too. Sad though, most of their stores around here closed. The hot ones right off the rack are delicious.
Closed... most of them, sigh...

I'm inspired. We have a Krispy Kreme within a mile. I might grab a box on my way to work.
WHAT!!! No Tim Hortons???
Jane (a confirmed non eater of donuts) xx
Krispy Creme is about 25 miles from here. Nope can't wait that long for any breakfast!

Haha... Denise you are so much a proper resident of the USA...
A wonderful post.
I know the joy whereof you speak!

Have one Krispy Kreme for me, will you?
I've had a few Krispy Cremes. They are fantastically delicious! I haven't every gotten up at 5Am to get them hot, but I would like to try it once.
Ahhhh...my husband's favorite doughnuts....I'm a potato chip kind of girl... wonder which one is healthier! LOL
Doughnuts, I am happy to say, are not my weakness. Now if there was a flower garden that I could feel free to wander around and take pics....
they are like heaven with a hole!!
ours closed, which was good for my thighs!!
your new header picture is gorgeous!!
Those are to die for, sooo good. That is pretty early to get up. I always enjoy the way you tell a story, you are so funny.
I'll choose Krispy Kreme any day over Dunkin Donuts.... Love KK---but don't eat them anymore. Dang it!!!!!
Hugs,
Betsy
Hi Denise, sorry, I can't stop. Got to find a doughnut shop.

I am just imagining buying eight dozen doughnuts . . . and were they still warm by the time you got back to the hotel?
I gained 5 pounds just reading this! :-) I don't think the boxes of donuts would have made it back to the hotel at all if I had been in charge!
