.....we saw a bride and groom having their photographs taken. It was Saturday and Gregg and I were exploring the grounds of the University of Virginia.

We enjoyed looking on for a while....

and found this little girl with the pretty red hair so cute.

The bride negotiated them very well in that long gown.

We left them to do a little more exploring but half an hour later we bumped into them again.

This was the church where they were married. We saw lots of guests coming and going.

It looks a lovely setting for a wedding. Red hair is becoming quite rare, I understand.
Great photo opportunity.
You got lovely captures.
Wow Denise, these pictures are excellent!
The bride is very charming, I love her dress, it's adorable!

I just love serendipity like that. I've also chanced upon wedding photo scenes like that and love it.
Lovely photos - I love the one with the little girl with the red hair - so sweet and that car - wonderful!

Great captures and Great Header, also great feeling the heat, lol.
What a beautiful bride! That little girl with the red hair is adorable.
One of those pictures reminds me of Robert E. Lee's home that is now the site of Arlington Cemetery.
That white car is hardly a jalopy but that word crossed my mind when I saw it. What a pretty car. It is beautiful. Jalopy maybe but is sure is one jalopy I would be proud to drive.
Thanks. I retwit it on my Twiiter

Beautiful photos, are you sure you weren't commissioned to take them ;)
Such a magical place to be married at... Your photos are stunning!
You stumbled upon a special scene and captured special moments! I went walking with my sister Luchie yesterday and I took special shots of flowers just for TF. I will email them to you ASAP!
Super thanks, Denise!
Denise, Your photos are outstanding. Ever thought about becoming a pro?
Not much better place to explore than Charlottesville. You took some lovely photographs, especially when you saw them later at the end of the colonnade.
I am glad I found your blog. I'll now have to check out some past entries

I think the bride and groom would love to have those photos you took. Wonderful photos! I hate the heat and mosquitos too, but I love the sunshine. Keep cool! The lemonade sounds good.
How much fun is that? When I was in the rose garden a few weeks ago, I saw some sisters having portraits done. It was fun to watch them and see what the photographer was shooting. And wow, that bride really was talented getting up the stairs in that dress.
Denise these photos just put me in a good mood. There's just something about a wedding that makes me smile. My daughter and I just love our guilty pleasure mornings when we can watch Four Weddings and drink our coffee together. I have 3 year old twin ginger grandnephews so the little girl wins a special place in my heart.
So enjoyed these recent blogs of UVA. Jack and I have wonderful memories of daughter Jennifer walking towards the Rotunda for undergraduate awards in '96 and for graduation in '99 when she got her B.A. degree and M.A. degree.
Thanks for visiting my friends. I have enjoyed reading all your comments.
