A few weeks ago I posted a request for postcards for my Step-brother-in-law Ken who was organizing a geography project for children at his library. I thought you would like to see the thank you he posted on Facebook. I would also like to say a big thank from me to everyone who was able to participate. So, THANK YOU for making Ken's project such a great success. And now from Ken:
"Thanks to all who sent postcards for my library program! It was very successful with 47 kids. We pinned the cards in place on a HUGE wall map. I got cards from 20 US states & 21 countries. A special thanks to my step-sister-in-law Denise. She posted my plea on her blog and her friends responded in droves! In total, I received 350 cards for the event. A good time was had by all thanks to the kindness of all of you!"

It is wonderful that so many did participate and the project was a success.
Ι'm so excited!!! If there were more teachers like him the world would probably be better and the kids happier!!!
Hello Denise
This is a comment out of the blue, nothing to do with this post, although I congratulate you on the success of your public spirited deed.
My sitemeter says that a lot of views of my secondary blog about poetry have come about through your site. As I have never heard from you I would like to say thank you this way.
As we don't follow each other I wonder how this happened.
Greetings from one ex-pat to another, a German woman in the UK to an English woman in the US.
She's adorable Denise!
I love the idea of using the Teddy Bear to document her growth.
I'm so glad the project was a success! I've now bought some extra postcards in case anybody else does the same thing.
Glad to have been of assistance, it was an avenue for many to learn about my little corner of the world!
Such sweet baby shots. Congratulations.
Loved reading your comments, thank you very much.
