It was a very happy day for us when we found out that Diane and Bill, our blogging friends from
Adventures before Dementia and
Bill's Ponderings would be visiting Washington DC. When Diane called me so that we could arrange to meet, Gregg and I were absolutely delighted.

They were everything we expected them to be, a very warm and friendly couple whom we took to straight away, and by the time we left we felt like we were saying goodbye to old friends.

Here they are at a restaurant in Georgetown with a good view of all the activity on the Potomac River.

After lunch we took a quick tour up to The Supreme Court (above) and the Capitol Building (below).

These are the lovely souvenir's they gave us from Australia, a great memento of our time together and we will treasure them, thank you Diane and Bill.

So Dear Friends, happy traveling and we will check in each day to see where you are along your journey. Thanks for such a great time and we won't say goodbye but will say until we meet again.

Isn't it grand to meet such likable folks via the internet? Thanks for sharing their visit!
Isn't blogging fun? I just met up with some bloggers in Utah and it was like we'd all known each other for forever. Incredible. I've read Diane/Bill's blogs for probably as long as we've all been blogging. I'm sure they would be just like that also. I told them I'd meet them in the Grand Canyon when they come through here but apparently they won't be there very long.
That's so nice :D) Sounds like you all had a great day together.
