Every now and again I thought I would pick a photo from my archives. This is a favorite of niece Megan being taken on a ride at the farm of one of father-in-law's sisters in North Dakota. We were there for a family reunion back in the summer of 2002. I may have even shared this before during the lifetime of this blog. Megan is on the four-wheel drive with two second cousins, there is a dog running just ahead of them, a wagon-wheel mailbox and a stop sign that says, "Whoa!" Did I tell you how much I love North Dakota, not only the State but the people I met there? One of these days I hope to go back for another reunion.

It looks like they are going hell for leather down that road-love those mail boxes and never knew you could get stop signs like that !
I used to live in North Dakota. In fact several cities. Looking back, there's much about it I miss.
Great fun! I love the thought of a stop sign like that.
I love the composition in this.
Fantastic image; looks like everyone had a wonderful time!
North Dakota looks very different from Hawaii. Very flat. No mountains?
This is a great photograph.
That's a great shot. I hope you can go back for another reunion soon.
Putt putt putt.
Nice to see folk having fun.
I love the vast horizon in North Dakota and other plains states. We can't see the horizon where we live--we're surrounded by mountains, hills and tall pine trees.
Great composition in this photo!
Looks like everyday life on the farm to me. The kids having a ball and the dog joining in too. Makes me smile to see it. Thanks. Maa
Love the wagon wheel mailbox. It fits the scene so well.
We're going to be in South Dakota soon. I hope they'll be as nice there as in the north. :-)
I can see why is it a favorite, beautiful color, fun subjects and personality leaping off the page.
that is a classic!

I'd love to see stop signs like that but a remote mail box wouldn't last five minutes with the amount of hooligans around.
Very nice feeling with the midwest. I liked the Scandinavian accents mant have up there.
North Dakota, wide open spaces for sure! A good place to visit, but not in the winter:)
I hope they all had a fun day. I hear N. Dakota is a beautiful state.
Denise, I love the photo and I loved North Dakota when I was there also. I have only been there once a few years ago when Gus and I took a trip. We drove up there for Gus' work, then drove home as a mini vacation taking our time. I must say that I thought N.Dakota we cleaner and greener than South Dakota. Wish it didn't get so cold and snowy there or I would be tempted to move there!
