What a beautiful bird, the nearest we get to large birds are seagulls, two in fact. They visit us every year, we call them Sid Vicious and Floppy on account that Floppy has a deformed foot and her husband Sid is mean to her. I really don't know why she stays with him. lol. Briony x
We're seeing more and more of those around here lately to if you go to the right spots. I just haven't been able to get a good shot of one yet. Nice job.
Beautiful job with the photos. Have you ever heard the sound they make? A very loud raspy screech! We have a large one who flies over our house to a large pond/lake nearby. It startles me every time - their voice does not match their beauty.

Herons are lovely birds to see.
Birds are hard to photograph flying. You have done well Herons look a bit clumsy in flight. BTW Your first picture wasn't visible to me.

I think your pics are great. Flying birds are hard to capture.
I love to see Blue Herons flying; their legs seem to be an afterthought hanging there beneath them!

A quick hand to catch them in flight and not smear it. I enjoy these wonderful birds.
I love to see herons and it's fascinating to see them fly. I nearly crashed the car the other day watching a low-flying grey one in front of the car.

I have the worst time taking bird photos too, because they move so fast. These are great action shots!
I agree; the Great Blue Heron is a beautiful bird. I get excited whenever I see one! You did a good job photographing the heron in flight.
