We are spending a few days in Virginia Beach visiting with the family. It has been a lovely trip and I will tell you more when I get home. We will be driving back up north tomorrow morning. 
This is a very familiar sight on the boardwalk, the statue of King Neptune. I think he has to be one of my all-time favorite statues. The detail is exceptional.

I only visited V.Beach once in the mid-90's. It was a fun, business convention and we had a great time. enjoy

My husband and I will be traveling to Virginia Beach next month. We will be visiting friends. I like the King Neptune statue too.

I have never been to Virginia Beach, but it's almost worth a trip to see that statue. Thanks for sharing it.

Hi Denise, we live about an hour or so from Virginia Beach by way of the Chesapeake Bay-Bridge bridge and tunnel. It's a costly trip from the VA eastern shore: $12each way / $17 if round trip is done within 24 hours. We don't get across the bay too often!
King Neptune is looking splendid. I have visited VA Beach but have heard it is nice. Hope y'all enjoyed your visit.

That is some statue and so big. My husband was there when he was in the navy. Have fun.
