Watery Wednesday and Nature Notes

As I am running so late again I thought I would combine these meme's, as I didn't want to miss out on either one. We had to drop Hamish off with friend Kathy's son and family, who live on a boat not too far away from our hotel. Hamish was staying overnight with the family. I couldn't help but think that life on the water must be a fun way to grow up - you are surrounded by nature.

Thank you 2sweetnsaxy for hosting this great meme.

Great watery shots, Denise! I can not imagine living on a boat year round. A week long cruise was more than enough for me.

I have always fancied a holiday on a canal barge in the UK. Misty mornings, 'put putting' through the countryside, country pubs for dinner, real ale etc. It is probably not at all like that , but I can dream!

Beautiful shots on the water. These two memes go very well together.

There are some characters in David Copperfield (the book by Charles Dickens, not the magician) who grow up by the sea. They live (and die) by the water. It's not wonderful, but it's not terrible - it's what they know. I imagine if you choose the sea as a home, you must love it.

I've often thought about living on a boat! I love the ocean best of all, as evidenced by my other blog, ksdoolittle !

Great shots - would love to live on the water in a boat but don't think I could adapt to lack of space.

The two memes do go well together. I wonder what it would like to grow up on a boat..I think it would be great fun for a young person, but I think I need my space...Lovely photos.. Thanks Denise...Michelle

Hi Denise,,, Water and Nature go together... Great pictures... BUT--I'm not sure I'd want to live on a boat... I'd love to 'vacation' on a boat --but not live on one all of the time.... But--that's just ME.

Hugs,
Betsy

Living on a boat there wouldn't be room for lots of material things. Surrounded by nature one would would probably appreciate the more important things of life. I've always thought that anyway. :)
Lovely shots!

I hope Hamish brought his life jacket.I have one for my dog, I enjoy the handle on the back to put her back in my boat.

I'm glad you got a chance to post. These are nice. I've always wanted to live by the water... but as a kid used to have nightmares about tsunami's and tornadoes over the ocean. Strange, huh? But I still LOVE the beach.

I'm hoping to live by some water at some point in my life. It's so soothing! Thanks for the photos.
