Camera-Critters #140

I'm sharing these pretty birds with you today, photos taken at the San Diego Zoo last September. I could kick myself for not taking note of what they are. The top photo is a Kookaburra. Maybe if you live in their neck of the woods you can give a shout out. I would be delighted to know their names.

  1. Next time you do this take a picture of the birds name on the sign and then take a picture of the bird..
    These are beautiful birds you took great pictures of them...

  2. The one with a big Quiff sticking up is a very vain bird often seen with a mirror and a comb and always looks at itself in shop windows as it flys past.other than that no I dont know what they are called

  3. Why they are beautiful. My guess: a lorikeet, large wren and a cockatiel. Were they all from down under?Hey a 2nd Iowan. Ha!

  8. This is such a pretty Kookabura. I remember seeing one in Australia and I was surprised at how big they were. I guess they come in different sizes. Yours was gorgeous! All your birds are really spectacular.
