SkyWatch Friday

Today I am sharing photos taken at the Mission Basilica San Diego de Alcala, California's first mission founded by Friar Junipero Serra on July 16th, 1769.

  16. The mission reminds me of the white mission south of Tucson on your way to Mexico.

    Patty and I toured 8 missions from around San Antonio. These were like skyscrapers in the day. The tallest things any natives had seen before these were built was the saguaro cactus.

    I like them because they were as cool inside as it was hot outside. A heavenly place to sit and rest.
