TODAY'S FLOWERS # 109

I am still sharing photos of our Seattle vacation from last month. These are again from the Bloedel Reserve on Bainbridge Island. I thought the trees were as beautiful as the flowers and some of the trunks on those trees, extraordinary. You can click on all the photos to enlarge for better detail.

"Vision is the art of seeing what is invisible to others."
~Jonathan Swift~

"It is not what you look at that matters, it is what you see."
~Henry David Thoreau~

"To photograph truthfully and effectively is to see beneath the surfaces and record the qualities of nature and humanity which live or are latent in all things.
~Ansel Adams~

"Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished."
~Lao Tzu~

"Study nature, love nature, stay close to nature. It will never fail you."
~Frank Lloyd Wright~

"And this, our life, exempt from public haunt, find tongues in trees, books in the running brooks, sermons in stones, and good in everything."
~William Shakespear's As You Like It~

"Nature can do more than physicians."
~Oliver Cromwell~

"All my life through, the new sights of nature make me rejoice like a child."
~Marie Curie~

  9. I just love those birch trees with their lovely textured bark. I don't know what kind of evergreen tree that second shot is but what lovely 'arms' they have.
