These shots were taken by husband Gregg while we were walking near the Capitol Building in Washington DC. Our first stop was the Botanical Gardens and you can see its glass framed roof in the photo above.
I have not been there much. I took my son there when he was a senior in high school, and right away he fell in love with a girl from Idaho. LOL
He spent more time with her than he did with me and I was paying the bills.
I have problems getting around to all myself. It is so bad, that I am not able to go out and visit as it takes me all day to visit those who visit me or leave messages or ask questions.
Very wonderful, Denise! Good grief! Is it already Thursday? How can that be? Have I been asleep the last 3 days? Whatever the case, I love your shots as always. These photos remind me of Dan Brown's last book, The Lost Symbol. :-)
Nice, puffy clouds overhead. I've never been to the Botanical Gardens. I hope you enjoyed the visit, even though it meant you had to forego a Vienna beef hotdog... sans ketchup.
Lovely Denise. We are RVers but haven't yet been to DC. And yet, oddly, for our 50th Anniversary we were fortunate to spend 3 months in London -- visited Parliament there. Weird we've never made it to Washington and wrong somehow.
I definitely have to take another trip to Washington, this time with my husband and on our own. Its hard on a bus tour trip, just "spotted" the highlights. These photos are so nice, and what a beautiful sky indeed! Looks like you had a great time indeed.
