Spring Cleaning .... be back in a day or two or three....

March bustles in on windy feet
And sweeps my doorstep and my street.
She washes and cleans with pounding rains,
Scrubbing the earth of winter stains.
She shakes the grime from carpet green
Till naught but fresh new blades are seen.
Then, house in order, all neat as a pin,
She ushers gentle springtime in.

  3. Will you come down here to TN and do my spring cleaning for me?????? PLEASE!!!! I hate house-cleaning--but it needs to be done. However, I want to wait until it is warmer --and we can air out the house...

Can't wait also to get out in the yard and do some yardwork!!!!! Spring is COMING.... Yeah!
    Hugs,
    Betsy

  5. I love the poem about March! It's so true. We do spring cleaning in the garden more than in the house.

  7. I've had the urge to Spring clean everyday the weather has been nice enough to open the windows...
It's turned chilly once again, so have the fireplace and the candles lit still....
Good luck with your cleaning, my gran used to have a favorite saying when she did the windows "Look after the middle, the corners will look after themselves "
    Hugs,
    Jo

  9. Love the poem and the cartoon. I believe in it. I know it drives my mother a little bit crazy that I don't dust the furniture everyday. Ah well...

  10. I could think of better things to do in Spring. But I guess a girl has to do what a girl has to do.

  13. I haven't started Spring cleaner, but I've been doing yard cleaning. Last fall we used a lot of leaves to cover shrubs and plants around the yard. Now Mr. Lincoln, thinks they should be raked away to give them a chance to breathe. Well the leaves we used were not mulched before placing around, so now I have the fun job of raking and bagging. I have my lawnmower plugged in as I write, because tomorrow I'm going to mulch them, catch the small pieces and bag them, perhaps even use them again as a finer mulch. I tried my leaf blower, that also mulches, but that's way too messy, you come in covered in dust. I'm sure my allergies and sinuses will be acting up next.

Happy Spring Cleaning and enjoy being away from the computer for a while. I may put that on my blog, Yard Cleaning for the next few days. I have 6 bags of yard rakings to put out tomorrow for trash along with 2 bags of trash. And I probably have that much more yet to clean up.
