And there my little doves did sit
With feathers softly brown
And glittering eyes that showed their right
To general Nature's deep delight.

Perfect!
A perfetc poem and photograph.
Doves are one of my favorites, gentle souls.
And to MY delight as well! What a nice capture. No sky is complete without mourning doves--a sure sign of spring for me.
great photo! and i know that poem!, love it...the two fit together perfect :)
Beautiful shot and a lovely quotation to accompany it:-)
Denise: What a great shot to go with the Browning words.
Great words and pic.

It is such a good shot of the dove - so clear. I love his expression.
Nice comforting shot of the mourning dove. The hawk flew past my window today and scared the daylights out of the starlings who were eating here and also scared the squirrel.
I love how you captured this dove looking slightly back over his shoulder.
He is a lovely boy, with feathers softly brown, although, I think he is giving you the eye! Nice capture of a feathered friend!
What a lovely creature. Her cousin drops by my feeder every day.
Beautiful words and picture Denise. Perfect for SWF. A x

Aren't the blue skies pretty, Denise???? I love your Mourning Dove. I had one on the deck this week. They are such pretty birds.

This is so pretty and perfect, Denise. Something about that photo that makes me feel a chill in the air. Beautiful!
Very nice photograph perfectly matching a beautiful poem! Doves in my city are sometimes noisy when they are in group but that single one on your photo looks very elegant and quiet.
I love this shot of the dove. Beautiful.
Peaceful!
Spring MUST be on its way.
