And another week begins - Happy Monday!

Pippa's Song

The year's at the spring,
And day's at the morn;
Morning's at seven;
The hillside's dew-pearled;
The lark's on the wing,
The snail's on the thorn;
God's in His Heaven,
All's right with the world.

~Robert Browning~

I hope you've all had a great weekend. Ours went very nicely. The weather was fantastic both days. Saturday we went into Washington DC and on Sunday to Meadowlark Gardens in Vienna (Virginia). Both places are easy drives away from home. I will be posting photos from both places over the next week, took oodles and oodles of them.

There were lots of people out in the city enjoying the good weather along with the sights. For the first time I got to see the WWII Memorial. We did a lot of walking, great exercise which doesn't seem like exercise when you are having such a good time taking in everything around you.

Hi Denise, it is such a lovely sight to see daffs growing around the base of trees.
Great new header.

We had a lovely weekend too. Isn't the WWII Memorial lovely? I love the fountains and the view in both directions while at the memorial.

Oh Denise, You and Pat (who lives in NYC) live in the neatest places -----and I'm so envious that you can drive into DC so easily and enjoy the city.

I don't live far from the Smokies --and love going there over and over. We go there when we know there are not so many tourists around.

Great pictures... Happy Spring to you.... We have some snow this morning. GADS!
Hugs,
Betsy

What a great weekend you had Denise!
Washington DC looks like a place full of gardens and buildings to tour...
You are correct, when you are having fun, walking doesn't seem like work.
It's turned cold here today, but warming up and showing off all those spring daffodils just waiting to bob their heads in the March wind.

Oh, I love DC! I'm glad you had a good time. I could walk around that area for hours too!

Sounds like you had a great spring weekend. Lovely places to visit too. Looking forward to more pics. You people who have cold winters remind me of rabbits, you all come out and run around in Spring after being snuggled up in your warrens keeping warm in the winter. he he he.
