SkyWatch Friday

These are the last photos of our outward journey to the west coast, getting to be a distant memory as we have been home just over three weeks now. We caught a connecting flight to Atlanta, Georgia, with about an hour lay-over in Atlanta.

This is the outline of the city of Atlanta as we were coming into land....

and this is after we had touched down.

It wasn't long before we were back on another plane heading towards Seattle.

It took us a while to take off as there were a few planes ahead of us.

I took this shot out of the small window in the emergency door at the back of the plane.

Thank you Klaus, Sandy, Wren, Fishing Guy, Louise and Sylvia for hosting SkyWatch Friday. If you want to see some great photos from around the world or join in and share your own, you can click right here.

Too bad it is not like the old days, you could have called me and I would have visited you at the airport.

I love the emergency door window picture. Glad you had a good trip.

I'm always amazed at the big line-up of planes waiting to take off, and how efficiently the take-offs seem to happen.
Nice shots of the Atlanta skyline. The emergency door window shot is fascinating.

Great shots from the plane and of the Atlanta Skyline. I grew in an area just outside of Atlanta and flown in and out of this airport many times.

Ms. Fiddlesticks, now that would have been lovely. I miss those days.

Janie, me too and thank you.

Cloudia, wish I could but if I close my eyes real hard....

Jo, (aka Brit in Tennessee, so many places in this country that are so beautiful, including Tennessee :) Always great to see what is on the other side of the hill.

Gigihawaii, you are very welcome.

Mountain.mama, they certainly were.

moe lauhe, thank you and you are most welcome.

Lew, so kind of you to say that. I liked the window shot too.

Diane, thank you.

Kay, thank you. I was very lucky that day. The clouds were gorgeous.

SquirrelQueen, thank you. I've only been to Atlanta to visit once in my life, with hubby and son, and my Mom and Dad many years ago. It's a lovely city.

Love the misty morning shots and the fluffy clouds 'through the round window' (do you remember that phrase from 'Play School'?)

Joops, I almost missed you, sorry about that but I am glad I took another look and there you were. Thank you so much for your comment.

Jabblog, thank you. I'm having a moment as I can't bring that phrase right now. I'll go do a google search :)
