Must have been fun! It is so impressing to see how the sheepdogs manoeuvre the sheep! Fascinating....and so are the men in kilt! :)Great shots - by the look at them you had a lovely day!
Great shots Denise-- especially the helicopter. I've been trying for months to get a good shot of one and never been successful. Yours is great. Have a wonderful weekend.
A great time was had by all! It looks hot - was it? Entertaining photos as ever - you certainly do 'get around' to some marvellous events.
Wow! That's a great shot of the helicopter!
Nice post for Skywatch.
It must be very intriguing to watch the dog heard the sheep. I wouldn't mind seeing that myself. The country side is beautiful, Denise. Thanks for stopping by :)
Scottish games sound like a great time, great photos as well
That was a beautiful open area for the festival. I'd love to see sheep dog trials sometime. I'll bet that was fun to watch.
Looks like fun for everybody.
Scotts kept them plantation mechanicals working in old Hawaii!Archibald Cleghorn married a Princess and fathered another, and left his name upon a street here in Waikiki....Aloha Comfort Spiral

Sky and traditions. Beautiful shots.
Denise: What fine shots over the game, beautiful photo of the helicopter.
As a child, I would sit a-top my fathers shoulders to watch the Highland Games. I left Scotland when I was eight, but I still remember the skirl of the pipes and the tossing of the cabers as vividly as if it were only yesterday - your last post brought it all back to me.Very atmospheric photo's here - you sure do get around!
Sharp detail on the chopper. Were there bagpipes? Bagpipes are perfect for the wide open spaces.
Great skies! happy weekend.
Thanks for visiting me. Love the Scotts photos.I always wonder what Scotts men wear under their kilts, I always imagine the fabric would be a bit itchy. Nice to meet you.xxx
Happy Happy Sky Watch Friday!
Looks like fun to me. This morning while Molly and I were walking a RED helicopter flew overhead so low it worried BOTH of us!Hugs and blessings,
Looks like fun and very nice scenery. Thanks for sharing.
Wonderful sky shots and it looks like great fun at those Scottish games. I would love to attend something like that some day.
My favorite is the photo of the goats in the foreground. Before enlarging it with a click, it looked vaguely like the goats were being walked by a woman holding their leash. :-D Your 9/11 post contained many very poignant photos. A sincere photo tribute.
Must have been nice to watch the Scottish games ! Nice landscape too !
It looks like an autumn sky. I love watching sheep dog trials. Those dogs are so clever.Did you find out what they wear under the kilt?
Oh, you're making me homesick, for fields as well as skies of Virginia.
What a happy day! Love helicopters!
Nice place to hold the Scottish games. Ours were last week at the Fair grounds in Pleasanton. Must have been fun...
