TODAY'S FLOWERS - ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY

Today is the One Year Anniversary of TODAY'S FLOWERS. Luiz has created several wonderful collages of all our Guest Friends' flowers on our home page in celebration. I would like to congratulate our good friend Luiz who created this wonderful meme, and thank him for giving us a year of fun in sharing all our photos. The flower is an international language that we all understand, for our love of them brings us all together every Sunday from every part of the world. I am very proud to have been asked to be a part of the team. Thank you Luiz and Happy Anniversary!

To join in you can click here.

My flowers are from the gardens next to the Smithsonian Castle in Washington DC.

Congratulations to you too Denise for being on the Team Boat.

I agree with you about "Flowers being an International language we all understand."

You have an array of beautiful floral collectibles here yourself. Nice shots. Good photographic pulse. :)

I must add my congratulations, too and agree with Bonnie Bonsai and Carver - it is fun. I love to see what grows in other people's 'neighbourhoods'.
Your flowers are beautiful and so varied.

You've got some beauties here in your photos. Thanks for sharing. Hope the humidity isn't too much where you're at today. It's miserable here. I'm like you, when humidity gets up, I don't want to move, just set me in front of a fan set on high.

I can remember one time when we went to visit an aunt, here little house which was actually what they call a defense cabin, two put together to make a larger home, they had two small boys at the time. Her house was so hot, she set a large bowl of ice cubes on the floor in front of a fan and turned the fan on, it did make the air a lot cooler. This was way before AC.

You're probably wondering what is a defense cabin, it was a small building they used on army bases to house soliders.

What a coincidence - I've just been reading about the Smithsonian museums in Bill Bryson's 'The Lost Continent', and now here's one of them with the added bonus of flowers.

These are lovely delicate shots.
