Watery Wednesday #44

We could do with a little liquid sunshine. I wondered how long it would be before I started saying that. Our once lovely green grass is turning a bit brown in patches. I think we have rain on the way though, along with a few thunderstorms for the rest of the week. Might be regretting my words.

Thank you 2sweetnsaxy for creating and hosting Watery Wednesday. You can visit by clicking right here to either share your own photos or just enjoy looking at others from around the world.

  1. That looks like rain to me. If you need it then it is good. We got some two days ago and needed it. About 1 inch which is a good rain for us.

  2. Not easy to get great shots of rain, but you did it. I hope you get some nice showers. We won't have any for months.

  3. Very interesting photo. Your brown patches almost look like water splashing. But I guess not, I only show showers...showers of blessing!

  4. That looks so neat. Rain is something we've had plenty of here in Eastern Pennsylvania.

  5. Never far from rain, are we? And you have caught a lovely downpour! You did well to capture it.

Concerning my bridges on my post....... Clifton Suspension Bridge spans the Avon Gorge........ but the two Severn bridges span a much larger Severn Estuary. All three are tidal and lead to the Bristol Channel.

I am impressed with your good memory!

  8. Nice puddle with bubbles and the rain visibly falling, especially when enlarged. Were you able to link on? I wasn't and MyWorld is down too.

  9. Believe it or not I was wishing the same for here. We did get a few cloudy thunderstorm days with moments of huge rain drops but when all was said and done the dirt was as dry as before. A waste of a good cloudy day is what that was!

  11. Down here in Hampton Roads we also need the rain. Our sprinkler system and well are out of commission right now due to construction and while the back yard around the construction is a total loss... I am trying to keep the front alive... could use some help from the skies.
Mr. Linky is broken.. again... so my Watery Wednesday is HERE.

  13. Wonderful capture! Two summers ago we were begging for rain. This year, we had three straight months of it, starting in April. It was badly needed but I'm so glad it finally eased off.
