Today is my sister's birthday. She passed away in January and I miss her terribly. We lived a long way from each other but we talked on the phone a couple of times a week. There are times when I still think she is just at the other end of the line and I can pick up the phone and there she will be, but even though she isn't I still talk to her. She will always be with me no matter how far the distance. Until we meet again, Happy Birthday Bev, I love you.

My Sister's Birthday.
Today is my sister's birthday. She passed away in January and I miss her terribly. We lived a long way from each other but we talked on the phone a couple of times a week. That is so sad. Birthdays are hard to pass. I know hoe you feel. I lost my brother and even though he lived in England I still miss him and can't believe he isn't there any more.
It's okay Denise to miss your sister. You had a good relationship with her. So, it's only natural to think of her on her birthday!
The pain will lessen but the memories will always remain. 'I must tell' becomes 'I wish I could tell' in time. My sister's birthday was on June 10th and I always think of her even though she died ten years ago.
I know how you are feeling from my own experience which is a sad story. As long as you are keeping your sister in your heart and mind she will be alive.

I've been where you are. My sister died in May, 26 years ago. The first two years were the worse, I would catch myself going to the phone to call her to tell her a joke I heard or ask a question about something, then I would remember, I couldn't do that. It did get some better after the second year, but perhaps that's because her husband remarried and my sister's family was all invited to the wedding.

A lovely tribute to your beloved sister Denise. I think it is almost harder to bear when you have lived at a distance yet remain emotionally close. It is only about 6 months since you lost her, still early days for you to have come to terms with your loss. On days like this though hopefully you can remember and smile and you know that she will always be in your heart. A x
